Prudential Prime Properties strongly believes in helping others that are less fortunate than we are. We support both the Dana-Farber School Liaison Program and the Sunshine Kids Foundation on an ongoing basis and have continued to aid others by supporting Katrina Hurricane Relief, Tsunami Relief in Southeast Asia and the Jimmy Fund Pan Mass Challenge, along with many other local charities.
The Dana-Farber School Liaison Program provides consultation to patients, parents and educators to improve the understanding of a child undergoing cancer treatment’s school related needs and the ability to identify and implement appropriate school based services to meet the specific needs of the child. We give between $10,000 and $15,000 annually to the School Liaison Program, to help children that have been out undergoing treatment to get back into school. The Sunshine Kids is a national non-profit organization dedicated to children with cancer. SSK provides positive group activities and emotional support for young cancer patients. The Sunshine Kids is funded by contributions from individuals, corporations and philanthropic foundations. It offers a variety of programs and events, free of charge, for children receiving cancer treatments in hospitals across the United States, Canada and Mexico. The Sunshine Kids look forward to the day when the foundation no longer needs to exist. Until then, the Foundation Board and the entire SSK family provide the finest programs and trips to as many kids as possible.
Prudential Prime Properties participates in fundraising for the Sunshine Kids by holding an annual golf tournament and auction. All funds raised at this event are donated to the Sunshine Kids Foundation, with a goal of bringing a little more sunshine into the lives of children with cancer. We are pleased to announce that we were in the top ten for all Prudential fundraising efforts for the Sunshine Kids for both of the last two years.
